Since I love food, I also love to cook. I find cooking relaxing and the whole process of shopping, preparation and of course eating helps me really understand the way places taste and why. Local recipes are always a plus, and when I find them I will share them here. Recipes often have a history, like pasta puttanesca, a spicy red tomato sauce made with red pepper flakes, anchovies, capers and black olives. This sauce is named for ladies of the night. They would place steaming pots of it in their windows to tempt men into the bordellos. I don’t claim to be the absolute best cook in the world but my cooking seems to be well received and I do enjoy tasty food. As always, I hope you will enjoy.
