Perennial Plant

« Back to Glossary Index

A perennial plant or simply perennial (from Latin per, meaning “through”, and annus, meaning “year”) is a plant that lives for more than two years. The term is often used to differentiate a plant from shorter-lived annuals and biennials. In warmer and more favorable climates, perennials grow continuously. In seasonal climates, their growth is limited to the growing season.

Civilization

Every society has a specific set of ideas and customs, and a certain set of manufactures and arts that make it unique. Because ancient civilizations continue to influence us today, and because I love history, I have devoted many posts to prehistory and ancient civilizations.
